BEL Selects IOT Zakura ECE Students at ₹12 LPA —

A Major Placement Milestone

In a significant development for campus placements in Jammu & Kashmir, Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL)—a Navratna PSU under the Ministry of Defence—has provisionally selected three final-year students from the Electronics & Communication Engineering Department, Institute of Technology (IOT), University of Kashmir, for the role of Fixed Term Engineer (E-II Grade) with a package of ₹12 lakh per annum.

The selected students—Amaan Abbas, Taaha Manzoor Shah, and Bhat Mufasir Nazir—cleared a competitive recruitment process held on June 18–19, 2025, at IOT Zakura Campus. The drive included a company presentation, written test, and interviews by a senior team from BEL Bangalore. Of 21 participants, 16 were shortlisted, and three secured final selection. Their postings will be in Srinagar, Leh, Awantipora, and Pathankot.
